Vanessa Meggiolaro is a recent graduate of University of the Arts in Philadelphia Pennsylvania where she earned a Master of Arts in Teaching as well as a certification in teaching music for kindergarten through twelfth grade students. Prior to achieving her masters degree, she attended Lawrence University in Appleton Wisconsin where she was awarded a Downbeat Award and where she received a Bachelor of Music Degree in Trumpet Performance.
Vanessa has been extremely active in the music community and has played with a variety of artists including; The Diva Jazz Orchestra, The Vince Pettinelli Orchestra, Vale Todo Salsa Ensemble, Union Street Brass Band, Rick Kerber Tribute Ensemble, Phil Woods, Ken Brader III, Matt Gallagher, Maria Schnieder Wycliffe Gordon, Patrick Dorian, David Liebman, and Randy Kaprilik. She was extremely involved in PMEA festivals during her high school career and was a member of District Band, Region bands and orchestras, All-State and All-Eastern ensembles.
Vanessa has taught general music, instrumental music, and fine arts classes within the Cheltenham and North Penn School Districts. Vanessa has conducted clinics and workshops within the Quakertown Area School District, Cheltenham School District, Pocono Mountain School District, and the University of the Arts. She believes that it is important to motivate and inspire students to become creative, culturally aware, and intelligent learners through music and to enable each individual to become aware of their potential and ability to achieve their goals through hard work and fun.
Currently, Vanessa is teaching throughout Northeast PA and performing throughout the tri-state area.
