The staff and faculty of the Black Bear Conservatory of Music welcome you!
Black Bear Conservatory of Music is more than a place to take music lessons; it is an institution dedicated to "Excellence in Music Education." Our faculty boasts advanced degrees from some of the finest institutions at home and abroad. In addition, not only are they acclaimed scholars and performers, but each instructor brings teaching experience from renown institutions including the Manhattan School of Music and the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music. As a school, we are concerned with the whole student and how each member is able to integrate music into his/her own life in a meaningful way. At Black Bear, we are more than music. We remain an institution dedicated to the preservation of culture in the community of which we are proud to be a part.
BBCM in the News . . .
* Juny Jung, Artist-in-Residence, performs with members of the New York Philharmonic on March 12th.
* Ryan Weber, Executive Director, presented research at the University of California (Santa Barbara) entitled, "Between the Lines: The Influence of Language in the Creation of Grieg's Songs."
